INTRODUCTION Ah old Alfred Hitchcock! When I got this game I thought it would be pretty cool even though it was in Japanese. I thought wrong. It is basically two really lame mini games which are bad clone versions on other systems just with some strange detective items(I guess that's what they are) We can be glad they didn't port it over to USA! GRAPHICS-4/10 Wow these graphics aren't that perrty. There's some old guy(Alfred) who just stands there the whole time talking. The FMV isn't that clear and the little items you match are really grainy. Overall the graphics are lame. SOUNDS-7/10 The background music is actually pretty good. I like the beat of it and it sounds good but makes the game seem better than it really is. When you get something wrong Alfred(I guess) says "Damn Nim" I have no idea what it means but it just doesn't sound clear at all. The sound is very Damn Nim(bad) CONTROL-3/10 You know a game will be lame when there is only one button besides the directional pad to press. You only use the directional pad in one of the two games also which stinks. GAMEPLAY-1/10 If you thought everything else about this game was bad, just try playing it! Wow it is one of the smallest most uninnovative games out there. Basically there are two simple games. Roulette and a matching game. Matching game has three levels of difficulty but you always match the same thing and it gets old quick. The roulette is really cheap because always when you stop it it goes down the same amount of spaces and stops there's no luck all pushing the button at the right time. Here's what I would do. Go buy the game concentration and a pocket roulette game and there you go you will have a lot more fun believe me! OVERALL FINAL SCORE-2/10 Wow this game is one of the reasons 3DO would have gotten a bad name in japan it is really lame. I can't believe that they made this into an actual game it's just two really small and lame mini games. If you ever see it on eBay do not, I repeat do not even think of buying it. Unless you are just a huge 3DO fan and even then I still would have second thoughts. Maybe little Alfred is really popular in Japan, I don't know but it sure made me think less of him in America! Price I would pay: 1 dollar with shipping and thats if I had money to spend. |
