REVIEW

Though it has some serious competition, the 3DO's Pebble Beach Golf is one of the few mediocre golf games for the system. It features average graphics (It's extremely pixelated when the camera's near a tree) with lackluster sound. It also has fun gameplay but nothing that I'd miss work over. The system for swinging the club is inventive, though hard to judge how much power is needed sometimes. Most people will find the long loading times an inconvenience, especially the obligatory motion sequences while golfing. On the plus side, it features some cool game modes and multiplayer compatibility. The 18 holes were nice though the grass textures were a bit repetitive. The best way to play is with a friend but don't expect to spend only a short time playing. If you're looking for a golf game on the 3DO platform, definitely pick up PGA Tour Golf before this. Final comment, though not a complete disappointment, you can do better with something else.
